The difficulties I have experienced have been worthwhile in that they have enabled me to gain a very wide and deep wealth of knowledge, resources and tools to offer others. The progress I have been able to make in my own life by understanding triggers and being able to respond to thoughts and facts rather than feelings and emotions has been astounding and empowering and I cannot wait to pass that gift onto others. I have always focused on helping people by allowing them to define their own success. As a doula, I supported expectant moms in the way which best suited them and their family without any personal agenda for how that looked. As a personal trainer I constantly adjust my training to adapt to the specific goals and physical responses of each client’s body and focus. There is no “one sized fits all approach” to helping people to achieve their goals because every person is so unique and their success and path is just as unique to them. As a certified life coach I specialize in adversity coaching always communicating with honesty, empathy and the hope of someone who has found a life of great abundance and fulfillment on the other side of the barrier of trauma-based fear and limitations. Life is truly spectacular just on the other side of scary and I’m excited to be your support as you discover that too!
Hi! I’m Kirsty Sayer. I was born and raised in South Africa and the small African Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland) before moving to the United States where I met and married my husband Aaron. We have lived in Idaho, California and now reside in a small university town in Ohio with our five children and our adorable dog. I have always felt a great capacity for joy and happiness and was so grateful for all the amazing people and opportunities in my life but unbeknownst to me I was being constantly derailed by misdiagnosed PTSD. Struggling with the wrong diagnosis and without the right resources for many years was terribly frustrating and sad and affected not just me but my family and friends. When I finally was able to get the help and tools I needed I became extra passionate about my life-long impulse to help, nurture and support others as they discovered their own fulfillment and healing.
I love to run and do yoga, hang out with my family doing just about anything and take trips to wherever it is sunny and the water is warm! My creative outlet is writing and I have kept a blog about my adventures, thoughts and journeys for more than ten years. I have met so many amazing people through writing and being transparent and vulnerable about things so many of us experience but feel alone in. I am thrilled to be reaching out to more people through my podcast One Inch Past Scary (on 10 major podcasting platforms) and now I’m on youtube too! Over my lifetime I have been terrified of practically everything and I have overcome so many fears but weirdly enough I have never been afraid of public speaking and started my public speaking career by addressing over a thousand adults when I was eight years old.
